Family at 2022 Event

Gregg’s Goals has been awarding scholarships to help deserving young soccer players in the northern San Diego County continue their education beyond high school into higher education. Since the year 2009 Gregg’s Goals has been able to donate over $140,000 in scholarships. Soccer (football) is often described as “The beautiful game” and is played by millions of people worldwide. Because of Gregg’s love for the game we have targeted soccer players for our scholarship. Knowing that only the very top players will receive athletic scholarships for the game of soccer, we have dedicated our search to players who exemplify the kind of 'heart' that would make Gregg proud.

Supporting Student Athletes

2022 Scholarship Recipients

2021 Scholarship Recipients

For many of our awardees, the sport has become an outlet to express their feelings in a positive way, the sport represents an escape from the hardships that face many young students. The game encourages academic success and providing them with a positive peer group it becomes an outlet that allows them to enjoy their youth. Many of these amazing athletes give back by coaching younger players or participate in community service.

Thus the beautiful game becomes more than just the game itself, it becomes a resource to aid young people in finding a path for their future. We are proud and pleased to come together as a community and help them along their path, in remembrance of Gregg Garon.

First generation students…

Additionally, we have began renewing scholarships for selected recipients who are the first in their family to attend college. We are determined to invest in their continued success and support the amazing feat of navigating the difficulties of higher education. Read their bios to learn more about these great young people!
